Butch Lee, Firefighter, Diamond Lake Station
South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue continues the volunteer appreciation program called SPOFR Volunteer Spotlight. This is a way to recognize the volunteers when you see them in the community grocery store or at any local activities. This month’s recipient is Butch Lee as announced by Chief Brad Martin.
Butch has been with SPOFR for the past six years and is currently a firefighter, ambulance driver, safety officer, and equipment manager.
Butch is also a local actor at Pend Oreille Playhouse in Newport, and he enjoys martial arts.
Butch works at Diamond Lake Deli and volunteers at the Newport Hospitality House and is a dog lover.
Chief Martin said anytime we call he is “…quick to respond to help us out.”
Congratulations Butch on being our March Spotlight recipient.
