South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue continues the volunteer appreciation program called SPOFR Volunteer Spotlight. This is a way to recognize the volunteers when you see them in the community grocery store or at any local activities.
February 2024 Volunteer Spotlight
Jeff Norling, Firefighter
Jeff Norling is our South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue Volunteer of the Month for February.
After talking with our former Chief Brad Martin, Jeff decided to join and has been a volunteer fireman for two years. He is currently the facilities and apparatus manager, taking care of over 40 vehicles and 9 fire stations in addition to being a volunteer fireman.
Norling said, “Volunteering is something I could give back to the community.” He continued saying, “I moved here from the Tri-Cities and the people are just so friendly up here.”
Jeff has been married to his wife Kamie for 20 years and raised 7 children with 10 grandchildren.
