South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue wishes to thank Newport Hospital and Health Services for providing a building for us to perform valuable controlled live burn training exercises.

This training consisted of search and rescue exercises led by Lieutenant Corey Toombs prior to the controlled burn and the defensive controlled live burn training on June 15th.

Watch us on KHQThis exercise allowed POC Fire District 2, Spokane 4, West Pend Oreille Fire, Pend Oreille County District 4, Kalispel Tribal Fire, and South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue to train together.

In addition, this training will kick off a 4 week South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue recruiting drive where volunteers are needed and appreciated. Please look at our website spofr.org to volunteer.
